Weather

Warm and pleasant weather in June, Chongqing is very suitable for outdoor activities and tourism.

Electricity

The current used in China is 220V 50Hz. The hotel provides 220V and 110V (only for shavers) power sockets. Please note that a plug adapter and converter may be required.

Currency and Exchange

The currency used in China is the Chinese yuan (RMB or Japanese yen), which is pegged to the US dollar. The current exchange rate is 1 US dollar: RMB 7.20 (as of January 2024). The Chinese yuan is divided into 10 joules or 100 cents. The denominations of paper currency are 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, and 1. Exchange your remaining RMB before returning home, as it can only be exchanged within China. Euros and US dollars can be exchanged at your hotel or any bank. Traveler's checks can only be redeemed at Bank of China. Banks usually start operating from 9am Monday to Friday morning to 5pm Saturday and Sunday morning to 4pm. Insurance

Participants are advised to purchase sufficient travel and health insurance before leaving their country.

Safety and Security

China is a very safe country, but it is still important to pay attention to personal and property safety. It is recommended to carry valuable items and passports with you.

Tipping
